Voluntary Recall – Kids II Oball Rattle Model 81031 & 81548

OBALL ANNOUNCES A VOLUNTARY RECALL ON THEIR OBALL RATTLES SOLD AFTER JANUARY 1, 2016.

In cooperation with Health Canada – Oball is recalling Rattle models 81031 and 81548 sold to consumers after January 1, 2016. The affected model numbers have one chamber containing all orange beads. The clear plastic disc on the outside of the ball can break and release small beads, posing a choking hazard to young children.

Rattle models with the following “T” date codes are affected: T3065, T0486, T1456, T2316 and T2856. The date code is located on a small triangle on the inner surface of the product.

Please note: As of February 15, 2017, the company has received no report of incidents in Canada, and no report of injuries. In the United States, the company has received 42 reports of the plastic disc breaking releasing small beads, including 5 reports of beads in a child’s mouth.

If you have identified that your Oball Rattle has been recalled, please take it away from small children and complete the registration form on Kids II’s recall website. Upon completion of your registration, you will receive a kit to return your affected product and be eligible to receive your refund.
