The Ju-Ju-Be BFF Diaper Bag

November 26, 2013

Since new Ju-Ju-Be prints have come out recently, I thought it was only appropriate to talk about the diaper bag I have loved from day one: the Ju-Ju-Be BFF. I am so thankful I ended up settling on this bag – it has worked out amazing for us and I can’t express enough how amazing the quality is. This bag was basically replacing my designer purse so I needed something pretty and very stylish that would work to hold all baby’s things. Note: I am an over-packer also when it comes to baby things! The main thing that won me over about the BFF (over other styles by Ju-Ju-Be) are the outer pockets and that it comes with straps to be a backpack.bff-prettytweet

I feel like this bag can grow with our needs once Mason is potty learning and we no longer need it for diapers. It is very stylish and can be used as a backpack for snacks, changes of clothes, toys and books. It’s a great bag for trips to the beach, swimming or even sleepovers. It is very comfortable as well – the backpack straps have memory foam padding along with the change pad (which I found especially nice when Mason was a newborn and I was changing him on a hard surface).

I love how many pockets the BFF has – the side pockets hold bottles, sippy cups, travel mugs and even my hand sanitizer perfectly. Since I ditched my purse I was thankful my keys could snap in the big front pocket and my wallet nicely fits inside as well. The top little pocket is perfect for odds and ends like soothers, teething tablets, nursing necklaces, my cell phone etc.  There are seven pockets inside the big compartment as well as an area to put cute pictures of your babe and family (which, after 18 months I still haven’t done – I am slacking).

bff-prettytweet-2The BFF is super easy to clean – you can wipe all of it down with a damp cloth. I also like to use my Buncha Farmers Stain Remover on things like coffee spots. Ju-Ju-Be says it can go in the washer but I am too scared it will lose form or the pretty little stones on the zippers might come off.

I don’t worry too much about germs or crumbs building up either because Ju-Ju-Be has that covered. There is an “AgION” Antimicrobial lining which means it kills germs, mold, mildew, fungus, bacteria and other icky stuff you don’t want near your child’s clothes and food. There are also crumb drains inside so you can get the crumbs out easily! Speaking of easy, it’s super easy to see what’s inside the bag with the light coloured linings rather than blindly digging through the bag of neatly folded and organized items.

My bag can fit tons of stuff in it in organized spots – here is a picture of all the items I can fit and then how it looks with everything inside.

I highly recommend this bag; I have been using it almost every single day for the past 18 months. It has come on walks, car rides, vacations, to the beach and, well, everywhere Mason goes – if he’s not home, it’s out with him. It really is important that it fits everything we need. If you don’t think the BFF has enough room for you (say you have two in cloth diapers), I highly recommend looking into the Ju-Ju-Be Be Prepared – it’s similar to this bag but bigger.
