Britax ClickTight Convertible Voluntary Recall

August 14, 2015

BlogHeader_2015Britax_VoluntaryRecallOn August 13th, 2015 Britax issued a voluntary recall of certain ClickTight model convertible car seats in cooperation with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Transport Canada. The car seats included in this recall were manufactured between August 1st, 2014 and July 29th, 2015.

The models listed below have harness adjuster buttons which may remain down in the “release” position after the harness is tightened. This will enable the shoulder harnesses to loosen from a child’s movements while secured in the seat. In the event of a motor vehicle, the harness may not adequately protect a child. Please see below for car seats identified in recall:

If your ClickTight car seat is listed in above chart and you have registered your seat with Britax you will automatically be sent a remedy kit within 7-10 business days of their announcement. To register your product, order a free remedy kit, verify an existing registration, or to get more information, please contact Britax at 1-888-427-4829, email at Britax.Recall@britax.com or visit BritaxClickTightConvertibleRecall.com

The remedy kit includes one (1) non-toxic food-grade lubricant, a label indicating that the the remedy has been completed, as well as an instruction sheet for applying the lubricant to the harness adjuster button (red).

Thank you in advance for your understanding,
